What we do to protect our infrastructure, our services and our visitors
For infrastructure protection, and only for a limited time, we may log and analyze the IP addresses and browser agent strings of our visitors. ClimateChangeTracker.org is hosted in data centers in the 🇪🇺 European Union, Germany and Finland. The data centers run 100% on renewable energy, including wind-, solar-, and hydropower.
Individual settings
When you use settings like theme switch or temperature unit switch or chart options like years, these settings are stored as tiny universal strings in the browser's local storage. We do not store any trackable identifiers on your device.
Stay safe
As internet traffic travels around the world, it can cross several borders and countries. Email providers, internet service providers, cloud providers, and governments may log (record, store) and analyze communication. If you are very privacy-sensitive, be conscious about the risks that may affect you and take appropriate precautions.
Embedding
Our embedding widgets are provided through our own CDN, which respects user privacy to the highest standards. Embedded charts do not set cookies. User settings are not persistent and do not use browser's local storage.
