• Emissions: The Netherlands emitted around 149 megatonnes CO₂e in 2024, accounting for 0.26% of the global total.
• Per person: Emissions were around 8.2 tonnes per person per year in 2024, rated very high on a scale where any level above zero adds warming.
• Trend: Emissions fell by around 7.14 megatonnes CO₂e a year over the ten years to 2024, a 3.94% yearly decline that was just short of the 4% the world needs for Net Zero in 2050 and warming of around 1.7 °C.
