• Emissions: Lebanon emitted around 23.9 megatonnes CO₂e in 2024, accounting for 0.04% of the global total.
• Per person: Emissions were around 4.1 tonnes per person per year in 2024, rated moderate on a scale where any level above zero adds warming.
• Trend: Emissions fell by around 1.27 megatonnes CO₂e a year, or 4.36% yearly, over the ten years to 2024-slightly faster than the 4% yearly global decline needed for Net Zero in 2050 and around 1.7 °C warming.
• What drives it: CO₂ made up 66% of emissions, methane 16%, F-gases 15% and nitrous oxide 4%.
