• Emissions: Slovenia emitted around 18.5 megatonnes CO₂e in 2024, about 0.03% of the global total.
• Per person: This was around 8.7 tonnes per person per year, rated very high on a scale where any level above zero adds warming.
• Trend: Emissions fell by roughly 0.64 megatonnes CO₂e a year, or 3%, over the ten years to 2024-slower than the 4% yearly global decline needed for Net Zero in 2050 and warming of around 1.7 °C.
• What drives it: CO₂ makes up 81.24% of emissions, methane 12.38%, nitrous oxide 4.06% and F-gases 2.31%.
• Historic responsibility: Since 1851, Slovenia's emissions have produced around 1,720 megatonnes CO₂e of warming impact, about 0.04% of the global total, or around 7.3 tonnes per person per year.
