• Emissions: Cameroon emitted around 68.6 megatonnes CO₂e in 2024, accounting for 0.12% of the global total.
• Per person: Emissions were around 2.4 tonnes per person per year in 2024, rated low on a scale where any level above zero adds warming.
• Trend: Cameroon's emissions fell by around 1% a year over the ten years to 2024, slower than the 4% yearly decline the world needs to achieve Net Zero in 2050 and limit warming to around 1.7 °C.
• What drives it: CO₂ accounts for around 54% of emissions, methane 30%, nitrous oxide 9.5% and F-gases 6.4%.
