• Per person: Emissions were around 6 tonnes per person per year, rated high on a scale where any level above zero adds warming.
• Trend: Emissions rose by roughly 0.31 megatonnes CO₂e a year, or 1.8% yearly, over the ten years to 2024, rather than the 4% yearly decline needed globally to achieve Net Zero in 2050 and limit warming to around 1.7 °C.
• What drives it: CO₂ makes up 45.4% of emissions, methane 34.03%, nitrous oxide 18.4% and F-gases 2.18%.
