• Per person: Emissions were around 7 tonnes per person per year in 2024, rated high on a scale where any level above zero adds warming.
• Trend: Emissions rose by around 3.6 megatonnes CO₂e a year over the ten years to 2024, rather than the 4% yearly decline the world needs to achieve Net Zero in 2050 and limit warming to around 1.7 °C.
• What drives it: CO₂ made up 68% of Thailand's emissions, methane 19%, F-gases 9.2% and nitrous oxide 4%.
