• Emissions: Denmark emitted around 46.1 megatonnes CO₂e in 2024, about 0.08% of the global total.
• Per person: That was around 7.7 tonnes per person per year, rated very high on a scale where any level above zero adds warming.
• Trend: Emissions fell by around 1.11 megatonnes CO₂e a year, or 2.21% yearly, over the ten years to 2024-slower than the 4% yearly decline needed globally.
• What drives it: Fossil and land-use CO₂ made up around 67.3% of emissions, methane 22%, nitrous oxide 10.2% and F-gases 0.6%.
• Historic responsibility: Since 1851, Denmark's emissions have produced around 7,020 megatonnes CO₂e of warming impact, about 0.18% of the global total, or around 10.8 tonnes per person per year.
